Please note that due to other commitments, I will NOT be attending
this years' Society Of Cape Cod Craftsmen show in August. First one
I've missed in the past twelve years ! Hope you attend any way ! Getting
together another great show in August !
I'm a year round resident in Pocasset, and as always, invite you to
visit me and see what's new.
Just call and I'll put a pot of coffee on !
Frank Adamo 2009 Work Shops ! Watch for dates !
I try to schedule
three to four work shops at my home and studio in Pocasset during
the winter months. Helps keep us Cape Codders from going totally bonkers
with "cabin fever".
We work on a piece that can be completed in one day, so everyone leaves
with a sense of accomplishment ! Projects are aimed at new to intermediate
carvers, and the class limit is eight.
Though a usual work shop lasts, six to eight hours, many hours are
spent in preparation. Planning, making cut-outs, line drawings, collecting
needed materials, so that each student is given a complete "kit"
, along with my undivided attention. Always a fun time, with the latest
country, pop, and classical music in the background ! Oh ya, and my
"latest jokes" ! ( but don't let that stop you ) !
I recently gave a mini work-shop for students interested in painting
only. We completed a flat eight by ten painting of an antique eider
decoy.
The best thing about work shops as I mentioned earlier, is that everyone
goes home wit a beautiful piece that THEY created !
I give private
and semi-private lessons by appointment.

Recent one and a
half day work shop, carving and painting an Adirondack Style mini
trout wall mount. This was the first fish carving for two of the students,
and they all went home with a beautiful piece of art and nature. Even
I completed one right along with them as I demonstrated and led the
way. When we took a lunch break,They were treated to my "World
famous" stuffed quahogs ! Nothing but the best for such talented
carvers !
